About Us
Hi there! My name is Tami. I've been drawing, writing and doing crafts for as long as I can remember. At some point in the last 10 years, someone in my family decided that I was running out of room and should start selling them.
It actually started with my husbands surgery. We had almost no notice that we had to drive to Winnipeg for him to have retinal reattachment surgery. In the process of trying to make enough money to get there, my daughter sold a painting I had done for her. Then a lot more people asked for the same painting. Then some people started asking for different paintings. It turns out that I was sitting at my craft desk painting non-stop and that's how we paid to get to Winnipeg and back.
He's fine, by the way.
This is what started everything. It made me realize that I didn't have to keep everything I created. My daughter and my husband are natural sales people, whereas I am not, so they started the sales end while I kept working on my crafts.
We started joining vendor fairs, and as that became successful, we started expanding our stock from just paintings to jewelry, mobiles, candles and more. My son helps with loading and unloading, as do my little grandsons, lugging packages up the ramp into the trailer. My 7 year old grandson, Jonah, fancies himself a salesman and takes it upon himself to greet each customer.
So, we are a family run business. While I might be the only one making the items, everyone is involved to one degree or another.
And that's how we started, and that's how we'll continue. See you soon!
